At Stock Market Guides, we offer a stock picking service where every pick we make is based on a trade setup that has a quantitative backtested edge. We don’t shoot from the hip with our stock picks here. We rely exclusively on the data. We find stock investment opportunities that have a track record of success in backtests. If you get a stock trade alert from us, it means we've identified this window of time where, according to history, the odds might be in your favor to make profit by owning it.
Stock Trade Alerts
Each trade alert indicates the full scope of the trade idea: the ticker symbol, when to buy it, and when to sell it. You can see that our stock trade alerts reflect a specific investing strategy and time frame. They also show how that strategy has performed historically according to backtests, both in terms of wins, losses, and return on investment. Please note that this performance information is not based on live trades, but on backtests, which have important limitations. Investing in stocks involves risk, even when trade setups have a strong history of profitability. You can dial your risk down or up by adjusting your position sizing or the number of trades you take. The more risk that’s taken, the higher the potential for drawdowns. You can also start out by paper trading stocks to get a feel for the trades before putting real money at risk.

Our stock picks are only for buying stocks, not shorting them. We have two different stock picking services. Our Stock Investing Picks are designed for people who are looking to hold positions for 3 months to a year. Swing Trading Stock Picks
For our Swing Trading Stock Picks, our trade alerts are based primarily on technical analysis. This means that our stock picks are based on chart patterns, indicators, and candlestick patterns, where the decision to buy or sell is based on buying pressure patterns that can be reflected on a stock chart.
