How We Find Downtrending Stocks Each Day
Our one-of-a-kind scanning technology is at the heart of everything we do here. We have a way to program a trading strategy into our scanner, and then it uses real-time data feeds to find any stocks that meet the criteria of the trading strategy.
In the case of finding stocks that have a downtrend each day, our scanner looks simply looks for stocks that for stocks whose prices have been trending downward.

Our Criteria for Defining Downtrending Stocks
To find stocks that have downtrending prices, our scanner looks for stocks that have a 20-day moving average that has decreased each of the last 14 trading days. It also checks to make sure the closing price each of the last five trading days is below that 20-day moving average.
